I build AI systems for evidence synthesis — tools that help researchers and clinicians make sense of the medical literature at scale. My current focus is SOLACE-AI, a Wellcome Trust-funded project developing climate-health evidence systems with partners in Ethiopia.
I also lead the South London Stroke Register, a 30-year longitudinal study of stroke and cardiovascular disease in a diverse urban population. A lot of this work is about understanding — and trying to reduce — structural inequalities in health outcomes.
Clinically, I practise as a GP in Streatham.
